Animal Smiley 036 A Buddy for Riley??

Hello all you Yorkie Lovers,

Here is my situation...I hope some of you yorkie pros can give me some input.
I bought a yorkie, his name is Riley, 6 months ago. He is 7 months old. He is great puppy full of energy and very curious. My mom bought Riley's brother, he is a bit smaller and a little less active. He is the lover and Riley is the "hyper" one.

Anyways, as a teacher I had the summer off and had alot of time with my new baby. When school started again I could not bare to leave my "son" alone, so everyday I take him to my mom's house, or what I call "kinder care" . There he gets to play with his brother as well as another Yorkie that my mom has had for years.

My issue is the following: I am interested in getting another dog to keep Riley "company" when I am at work, so I dont have to take him to my moms house everyday. Is this wise to do even though Riley is still a puppy, and will it take away from my bond with him.
And if I do get another dog, could I get another breed or would it be best to stay with the same breed ?

Riley loves it at my moms house, and I think he is a bit confused about which is his "home" and who his "pack leader" is. He obeys me but not my mom, yet he is there all day (up to 8 hours when I do after care). When it is time to go home, he gets excited and jumps in his bag, but also wants to stay and play with his brother. In his mind we are all members of his "pack", some come and some go at times...this cannot be good for him...

If you can just give me some advice; I have no problem taking him to my mothers house everyday, I just want to do what is best for him and me

Thanks in advance
