Hello and welcome. Most of us here feed canidae, wellness, merricks ect. The soft bowel movements are most likely for the wet food. I personally only give wet food once a day if at all. Feeding dry will create poop that is not so soft. I feed Canidae dry and Merricks/canidae wet. I also Home cook. I think that a well balanced diet of dry and wet is better for our little onces. The dry food also cleans their teeth when they chew it up. If your puppy doesn like the dry just moisten it up with water
