Yup that's what we use too, the coating is actually freeze dried raw if I'm not mistaken. I don't know, it has been a while since we did the research and made the switch. but my pups haven't been over thirsty, and they have been pooing less which is GREAT! The all protein diet has bulked up skinny Tbone a bit and slimmed down our chubby Tina. We are very happy with it.
