The only thing I could POSSIBLY see is that she used the term "mutt". I don't think she was being rude about it though. I call my babies "mutts" all the time. Sometimes I call them that lovingly, sometimes I call them that jokingly, and I've been known to call them that when I was ticked at them.

As for the term "mutt" I'm not going to apologize for that. (I actually find the term "mixed" to be more offensive, but I'm an adult, know that is not the way it's intended when used here and therefore make a big deal over it.) All my life I grew up thinking that any dog that wasn't purebred was a "mutt"--I've owned several "mutts" in my lifetime and loved each and everyone of them. A mutt is not any lesser dog than a pure bred, nor are all purebreds fault free and from better breeding--if anyone interpreted my posts as implying that, those are their words and feelings, not mine.
No sense in trying so hard to make something out of nothing.
