Milk Chocolate Fudge
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
4-1/2 cups sugar
1 can (13 oz) of evaporated milk [I use the 12 ounce can if I can't find this]
3 packages (12oz) milk chocolate chips
1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow creme
3 cups chopped pecans [optional]
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Bring butter, sugar and milk to a full rolling boil in a heavy 4-quart saucepan, stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes over medium heat stirring constantly to avoid scorching. [You will notice a slight change in smell and color when it's ready.]
Remove from heat. Gradually stir in chocolate chips until melted. Add remaining ingredients; beat until well blended.
Pour into greased 13x9 inch pan. Cool; cut into squares. Enjoy!
