Even if AKC regs at such an early age, a male Yorkie needs to be fully mature to use him properly for breeding. ONE BAD EXPERIENCE AND THAT BOY CAN BE RUINED FOR LIFE AND WILL NOT MATE!!! The first mating of a male should be fully supervised by totally experienced breeders. A virgin female is not the best candidate for proving him--if the female is proven and no puppies are produced from the mating you know it probably is NOT her. Then you have to find someone who will take a chance on losing a heat cycle to find out whether he is shootin' blanks or not.
Has he ever been tested for STD's?If he doesn't produce could be a medical problem.
I gotta shut up. By this time I know you are tired of me on my soapbox saying "There is more to breeding that putting 2 dogs together to make puppies!" |
