We ended up going to the vet for Lily to have her pup. She lost the first pup that she had and we were not positive if there was another in there. The vet delivered this one. There is a little over an inch of the umbilical cord still left on the pup. I am worried though that Lily will keep pulling on it. She wants to chew it off. Her first pup was born umbilical cord came out first followed by the tail and then the head. The pup never started breathing. I tried taking the pup and gently swinging it up and down in both hands to get it to breathe. I suctioned the mouth and nose. Nothing. I had the vet on the phone and he told me to give her to Lily. So I gave the pup to Lily to see if she could revive it. I let her chew off the umbilical cord. She chewed it pretty close too. After this I took Lily to the vet and she delivered the second one there.
