He is on the large size for stud use, and the odds of him throwing larger pups that require c-section delivery is therefore higher. Breeding just for the sake of acquiring another pet is not a good idea. If you just want another york or two for pets, find a good breeder and buy them.

When I spend $500-1000 on anything I do not go into it blindly. When I first decided to get a yorkie it didnt take much research to find that yorkie's come with many potiential problems if they are not breed with love. With that said I have the complete line of baileys line and he was breed by the top yorkie breeder in lakeland. Laura Lombardo whom shows her dogs and is very picky as to who buyes them not to mention they all (with the exception of a couple breeders) come with limited registrations. So, my pups would not be AKC registered, but would still be of quality.
Now, im getting as much information as possible about breeding so that I will not hurt my pups or POSSIBLE future puppys. My bailey is almost 6lbs so I know that I need to get a bigger yorkie. The breeder that i meet with today knew and has worked with Laura on breeding together. so I know since Laura trusts her, I can too.
I can't tell you how much respect I have for breeders that are dedicating their sleep and energy into providing these lovable pets for yorkie lovers like me and many others...my hat goes off to them!
