I've always done the rabies shot with the combo shot and never had any problems. The main thing I would be worried about is an allergic reaction to one of the vaccinations...if you gave several, you wouldn't know which one the dog was allergic to. But many dogs and cats are given multiple vaccinations at the same time without any problems at all. If you have a really tiny dog, you might have to be more careful as well. I would just discuss any concerns you might have with your vet and see what they suggest
