This is BabyFidgette's picture of Baby. Ellie's incision looked very similar but Ellie had about double the amount of staples. Her incision was 4 inches long.
Someone else on YT had her dog spayed not too long ago and they used staples. The vet had to yank a couple of hers also.
Ellie's incision in okay but she has a whole bunch of lumps underneath (scar tissue) and I'm not convinced it will ever go away. I am just glad she is okay though. Since she had been under for a spay and a liver biopsy, the vet may have wanted to close fast. I really don't know. I didn't talk to her about it before the spay because for one I didn't think of it and I really do trust her judgment so whatever worked for her and kept Ellie safe is fine with me.
Maybe just run it by your vet. They can still gnaw at their staples. They still need a onesie or e-collar.
