I don't know if it has been mentioned to you yet, but a "cold" puppy will not nurse and will not thrive. Even what feels comfortable to you may be too cool for the baby. Do you have a heating pad under his bedding? I covered the crate my Mom and babies were in to keep the heat in also. The smaller they are, the warmer they should stay. I believe what I was told was to keep it 85 degrees the first week (2 weeks if they are tiny) then you can go down to 80 the next week, then about 78-75 after that.
