You may remember my cat, Maggie with her UTI. The meds didn't take it away and now she has blood in her urine. I took her back to the vet today and they said she had a lot of blood in her bladder.
So, she is on a different kind of antibiotic now and then they want to do the tests over again ($102.00 + meds if needed) and take an x-ray for another $125.00.

They want to do an x-ray cause they think she has kidney stones and they don't show up very well on the ultra sound.
If she has kidney stones, that means surgery.
I will spend money on my dogs - one already had surgery that cost over $1,000 - but I don't know about the cat. I know that sounds horrid and will tick some of you off, but that's where I'm at. It's a lot of money considering the stones could come back and we would have to do this all over again.
They talked about putting her on Hill's prescription diet, which I DO NOT want to do.
Has anyone dealt with this in your cat? What did you do? Anything different than what has been proposed to me?
I am so bummed.
