I can't believe a good vet would tell you to wait until after their first heat cycle..I know some do... but, there chances of getting certain cancers are higher if they're not spayed before their first heat cycle....Lucky for me, the 2 vets I have used, both have told me the same thing, if you're not using them for breeding, spay them before they go in to heat..
