Bitsy (8yrs)and Sweet Pea(4 months) come flying if I call them-- especially if I am in the kitchen. I trim all fat and lightly bake a beef rib bone for each once a week and that keeps their teeth bright and shiny and they both know what "bones today" means. Bitsy cries with anticipation when she smells them cooking. I keep boiled skinless chicken breast in the fridge and if I say "Come Here Girls"" they race to see who gets there first . I put Bitsy's plate with the canned meat and chicken bits on a towel on the bed to keep Sweet Pea from stealing it as she is too small to get up on the bed. Bitsy goes in at her leisure and usually by noon its all consumed then it's time go ride(ies) to the local grocery store. They both beg for their harnesses and to be carried to the car. Bitsy will look at me and cry until I let the car window down so she can let her hair blow in the wind. At home, their favorite spot is to tuck in between my legs on the recliner for belly rubs and snoozing. I'm so glad I haven't spoiled them.
