My husband with the military was always gone,
so the dogs were my comfort and my company, I was never alone when he was on the road with the military going someplace.
So when he makes fun of me, sometimes I have wondered if the jokes were actually sometimes serious. I remind him that while I was alone for many years, one year he was gone 310 days.
So when I remind him of how I even got involved and so attached to my yorkies was due to being alone to begin with.,
I looked after the home the bills, and was not a wife who overspent so he never had to be brought back because of financial problems, and I was always there when he got home. Many times he would tell me that a guy got home to an empty with a wife and the kids gone.
