OMG - that is horrible. I am so sorry for your loss. If what you are feeling was truly happening to this baby all I can think is SHAME SHAME SHAME on your friend and if this baby was really being abused, at least now she's not hurting anymore.
Again, I'm sorry for your loss. Please don't blame yourself for this. I have friends I have had for years and years that at some point have suprised and astounded me by some of the things they have done.
