First of all - it is not a dangerous operation. It's actually a very simple procedure. Much less invasive than spaying a female. And annoying behavior is probably something you can eliminate or make better by retraining. However, overpopulation and killing unwanted pets is preventable by neutering!!! Perhaps you should visit a animal shelter so that you can get the full impact of people not spaying or neutering their pets. If you're not a breeder, then there is absolutely no reason for you not to spay/neuter your pet. Please talk to any Vet and I am sure they'll tell you the same thing.
