The Matrix program challenges players to spot smiling faces among a sea of frowns.
People who played the game daily for one week experienced a 17% decrease in the stress hormone cortisol, report researchers in Montreal.
Why?
The game teaches you to tune out negativity and focus on the postitive, says co-creator Mark Baldwin, Ph.D., a psychology professor at McGill University.
