Bailey, my Yorkie, will have to have at least 3 baby teeth pulled that didn't fall out. He just turned 1 year. I brush his teeth and clean his face and eyes every night before bed (and brush him thoroughly) I started doing his teeth when he was about 3-4 months after I talked to a neighbor who's Yorkie had to have all of his teeth pulled because she only fed him canned dog food and no brushing, etc. I had a technician at Petco show me how to brush and I just did it.
You can also get pull ropes and leather pieces that help also.
