Pixie is about to be 7 months old and all of her adult teeth have come in.. she has two retained canines so they will be pulled when she gets spayed in about a week. I didn't have my Malt's teeth pulled when he was neutered because my old vet had assured me that they'd fall out on their own.. well he's now over a year old and still has those retained teeth.. luckily they aren't crowding his mouth but he gets so much food stuck in there. I've been putting off having them pulled because I really don't want to put him under for just that but I may have his teeth cleaned soon and have them pulled then. The price you were quoted sounds about right because it will involve putting him under.
