Hi littlealexa-

We just had Annie spayed close to 3 weeks ago. We dropped her off in the morning, she had the surgery around 3ish and we picked her up around 7. When we picked her up she was groggy and so sad looking. I felt so bad for her. I as you was worried about the whole thing for the whole time before the day we took her (as well as during) But it seems to be a fairly simple procedure and they bounce back really quick. I too was worried that her temperment might change and that she would be mad at us. But that wasn't the case at all. When we got home she just went straight to her crate and slept for a bit and then came out a little later and then slept with us on the couch. The vet did not give us that cone thing or anything and she really didn't try going at her stitches. The next morning I would say she was 75% and then the following day she was back to normal. Jumping around (no matter how hard we tried to get her to stop her) and playing like her usual self. Her stitches were removed after 10 days and she has internal ones that should disintigrate after 3-4 weeks. Our vet told us to get her spayed before her first heat. He said sometime between 6-8 months. We had her done at 7.5 months (and 5 lbs). This gave her enough time for her baby teeth to fall out and whichever ones didn't we had pulled at the same time (kill two birds with one stone)
