Its a more serious proceedure when they are older. I personaly, would keep the tail and the dew claws. I have dogs with dew claws and they are not an issue at all! Both my Chi's have their dew claws and there is nothing wrong with having them.

I would highly suggest at this point to let the pup have both his/her tail and dew claws.
