OH Patti I am so sorry you have had to go through this with your Maya. I know how hard it is to watch as Murphy has Peti-Mal Seizures frequently and those are hard enough to watch. He has been on Phenobarbital which is a medicine prescribed for seizures.
It is heart wrenching to watch, my only advice is try to hold her close while she is having one or cuddle up around her where she is at the time and just talk softly to her and try to calm her down with a soothing tone. That’s what I do with Murphy and I think it makes him feel a little better. He gets so scared when he is having one so that’s all I know to do while I let it pass.
It sounds like you are working with your vet but did they say anything about treating her with this medicine for the seizure or are they thinking it was a one time thing? I am praying for you girl and hope Miss Maya gets better. Murphy knows how she feels and sends his love to her.
