When she needed to go in the middle of the night she usually made some noise, so i got up, put on her leash, and took her out to potty. i didn't make a big deal when i took her out. just opened the door, scooped her up, didn't say anything, took her outside, told her to go potty, waited...waited until she went, said good girl, then scooped her up, took her inside and put her back in her crate without another word. i didn't want to rile her up so night time wake ups were just about pottying and nothing else. after a week or two she was able to hold it all night until 6/7am | ditto that. Mine is 15 weeks old. he sleeps in his crate from 12 midnight-7am. He still whines occasionally at night to go out and that's only if he really needs to. |
