Thankfully, I have never made them bleed (thank goodness), but I hate clipping them....they cringe at the sound and too, their nails get jagged and sharp!!!

Lily's nails were soooo long when we got her...and the vet tech said that the quick will be long too....but to keep cutting back a little each time to shorten the quick....apparently I have never hit it yet and her nails are still long, but no where like they were.

This tool (above) looks soooo simple to use....I hope it works that good!

Jodie when you sand the nails....do you sand down the nail tip? Or side to side or what?

The vet tech said if I use clippers to use just a plain old cheapie nail file up and down to sand the jagged edges....can you imagine them sitting still long enough to do that?! I mean, I am doing good their nails all done as it is!
