Unfortunately some males just never get it. Also if there are experienced males around then an inexperienced male may feel intimidated and he may be reluctant to breed. Be sure the keep the male and the female completely separated until you are ready to try to breed them. Some males just need a little more time. If your female is ready and experienced then she should tease the male to get him interested. How old is your male?
