My puppy cried and barked when I put him in his crate/x-pen for the day for the first 2 months! Now, he gets sad when I leave, but he doesn't cry or bark. He still get's a sad look on his face  , but I just leave, without making a big fuss. I've heard that if you make it no big deal, your puppy won't think it's a big deal either. Good luck! |
Yes, I actually lure him in with his toys. So most of the time, he goes in on his own. I will keep reinforcing that to him.
I'm glad to hear your pup stopped crying, although it will still be sad to see his face when I leave...! But it's still good to hear! Thanks for the reassurance.
