it sounds like ear mites, I had one of my babies just like that and I had to treat everyone else. My vet put a sample of the black stuff under microscoping and showed me , it was like hundreds of little things moving around.
Yes, you need to go to a better vet and the treatment is very fast/easy 4 drops of medication on each ear once a week for 3 weeks did the work.
