 Icky Ear drainage
I have a female yorkie that keeps on getting a black ear drainage. It really is irritating to her and she shakes her head often and sometimes scratches at them. It looks like black tar when I clean it out and smells really bad.This has been ongoing for about 2 yrs now. The vet never really tells me what it is, but always send me home w/ a tube of ear cream for her. I believe I've went through three different brands.
My question is... is their something that's causing this that maybe she's eating. I did read somewhere that a lot of dogs get yeast infections in their ears due to a high content of grains in their dog food. I switched her over and now she's eating a lamb and rice food.
