I don't think you need to give vitamins if you are feeding a high quality dog food. It is fine to give supplements for joints or things like that but just to give more of what is already in their food is not really necessary. If your bf is concerned, have him read the back of the dog food bag. All those names that he won't be able to pronounce have taken care of their needs. It is sweet that he cares though.
