Misti~ thank you. He's fine now; hasn't had any problems since that one time, but that was a doozy! I don't ever want to go thru that (or have him go thru it!) again. He was a little chunky at the time and the vets didn't know if the pancreatitis was caused by being overweight and overtaxing the pancreas, or if he'd gotten into something (the place we were living at the time had a gigantic back yard that had a LOT of shrubbery that could have harbored heaven-only-knows what! Anyhow, they put him on a lower calorie dog food and told us no more treats or people food (he only ever got boiled chicken breast when we went out and occasionally a small bit of dh's toast and sometimes he got the last bits of my egg whites in the morning)....but even that, she said "no" to. So, now, I'm using his dry food as "treats" and "snacks" for him.
