Hi Nicole. My Yorkie was also diagnosed with a luxating patella. He actually has it in both rear legs. I went through so many websites for info on this condition and many users of YT were very helpful as well. Here is one website that explains it very well:http://www.peteducation.com/article....&articleid=457 You can also do a google search on luxating patella in dogs and you will get tons of info. Also, you may do a search on YT and will come across lots of posts from users that can also be very helpful. Unfortuantely I was told the only way to correct a LP is through surgery but since my dog only has a grade 1 LP he doesn't need the surgery just yet. I hope he doesn't get worse. Good luck to you and I also hope your dog doesn't need the surgery.
