I didnt change my babies food whilst teething either,I think that the crunching releives their gums and helps loosen other teeth
Also,when my oldest yorkie was spayed,she had 8 baby teeth pulled and STILL ate dry kibble afterwards.I left a bowl of moist kibble out for her,and even a little canned food,but she didnt want that..she went straight to her usual bowl and crunched away
lol.
