  I was thrilled to see this thread.  And i am going to print this out and try each and every recipe  once a month for the next few months.  I am learning to cook now that I have time.
 
 I have done the canned sweet potato route and it is the easiest and I recommend it. And very yummy.
 
 But I got adventurous this past T/Giving and I peeled and boiled about 6 sweet potatoes after cutting them up kinda cube like.
 I added melted butter, mashed them a bit,  and used a mixer to make them smooth.
 
 added brown sugar - and used the mixer again to make sure it was spread evenly.
 
 then put them into a 13" square Pyrex dish to bake in a 375º oven with little marshmallows on top.   Baked about 30 minutes and checked on it.
 
 You do not want the marshmallows to burn.
 
 My first try came out yummy (just like Boston Markets)
