Max has been doing so good with pottying outside, or so I thought. He's had a few accidents but overall seemed to be holding it fairly well until let outside. Today as I walked back in the door I caught a urine smell. I started looking closer at the carpet (light beige color) and noticed several off colored spots. Seems he's using the carpet by the door to go potty between outside potty breaks. Not sure how long he's been doing this but there are about 5 or 6 spots on the carpet. I'll have to get out the carpet cleaner and hope I can get the smell out. I had been giving Max more freedom in the house because I thought he was doing so well but I guess it's back to strict crate training.
This whole potty training stuff is getting really old. I hate to admit it but I'm really wishing I had got a different breed of dog.
