I use Little Bit's "Magic Potty Pads".

That's where I keep mine too. There is never an odor. In fact, when using disposables, we have to put them in an airtight garbage pail because of the smell. The washable ones hold a ton more and just sit on the floor (folded absorbant side in) in a corner of the laundry room and never smell.
I can't "calculate" the savings. But we buy the disposable ones from Walmart (just for traveling now) and would have to use more than one a day. One washable one lasts me a couple of days before washing (I usually wash two at a time). They could probably go more than that - that's just
my limit.

And I got over the eww factor when I remembered that I had babies that provided much grosser laundry than pee-soaked pads.
