I'm in the same situation ... Only my 'pup' is older than yours. We're planning to have a baby next year, Pepper is 1.5 years now. He's a Momma's boy too and I know getting him (all of us) used to the new situations and changes will require work. I will not want him jumping on the baby for example, but also would not allow him get hurt when the baby starts crawling and walking. But I know it is possible for everyone to be safe and happy, it will just require a lot of work... I've always exposed Pepper to kids all ages, and made sure he never got any bad experiences around kids. That's why he loves kids unconditionally now. And is not afraid of them at all. Good luck!
