I don't think that all children pose a threat to Yorkies--no more than an adult would, in any case. I have a 6 yr old that I don't doubt for a second knows the proper way to act and handle Yorkie to the extent that she is allowed too, so I know it is possible. She has had it drilled into her head since she was born.
That being said, however, I can speak on behalf of my own daughter as I know what she's been taught and know her actions. I cannot say the same for someone else's child and quite frankly, wouldn't be willing to take the chance. I think alot can be said for observing the child with pups/dogs and seeing exactly how they react around them and how much of their actions are a result of prompting and reminders from nearby mom/dad and how much is what they seem accustomed to on their own.

Hope that makes sense....at least a little sense anyway...
