up late can't sleep!!! OH well here goes.I think less people are trying to adopt yorkies from rescues because all the restrictions put on them.IT is just unrealistic especially where size is concerned.I tried adopting from a rescue 4 to be exact before I went to a breeder and because of my son's age(5) was turned down time again.I DID HAVE A LOT OF EXPLAINING TO DO WITH HER ALSO (BUT!she gave me a chance and told me it was an open door bring him back if it did not work).I have to say you do have to be careful but a careless person will neglect a bigger dog as well as a small one.I have two 4lb yorkies that my son does very well with and we have never had an accident. If they just focus on people in general who love the breed or dogs in general they may have better luck.BUT I believe why do I have to go through all this crap for an old sick dog with who knows how many problems and I can go get this cute cuddley baby and love on him less the FBI interrogation. GOOD BREEDERS!! ask a lot of questions also but they are more dog oriented and I believe can judge people more accurately. |
