It was only a mini meetup by SoCal standards, but for us simple country-folk Alaskans, my wife and I had a blast hooking up with Corinne, Lisa and Lauren for an impromptu meetup last week.

I wasn't sure we were going to be able to carve out any time to meet anyone, but we managed to get a two-hour window at the last minute. Corinne took care of us. We met at a dog-friendly cafe, then drove a mile to a dog beach. It was the highlight of our trip so far.

If anyone doubted how cool Jazzie, Sukoshi and Mango are, let me tell you they are ALL YORKIE. Mango couldn't make it to the beach, but Jazzie and Sukoshi had a blast along with Eddie and Jack. And they all got along great. Here are a few pictures from the cafe and the beach.

2. Jack was the only one brave enough to body surf. Of course, he was the only one slow enough to get caught in the tide.
