I can't believe the difference in prices of vets and have always noticed on different threads how much more expensive it is in other areas. I paid about $150 for Maddie's and Libby's spay and that included bloodwork. I had to pay a little extra for Libby because she needed some teeth pulled, but I think it was only $8 a tooth or something like that.
Regarding the dew claws, I have read that having dew claws removed later than the first few days of life, is so terribly painful and quite a long recovery. I remember someone saying that they didn't recommend it because it is so hard on the puppy. I think I may have read that on one of the threads here. Maybe you should do a little more research on dew claws.
