Just out of curiosity, what is the consensus on having a yorkie with a young child?
The reason I ask is because I contacted a rescue today and was denied because 1) I live in a condo and 2) because my daughter is too young (shes 3 1/2). I wasnt actually terribly suprised to be turned away, I have been by every shelter and rescue that I have contacted so far. I understand that a lot of rescue dogs have come from hard beginnings and dont take it personally.
Never having owned a yorkie before, but knowing what my daughter is like, all I can do is go by what I feel is going to be suitable, but I also value other yorkie owners experience.
