I was downtown and saw a vet clinic and decided to check it out. I've been looking around for where i want to get London spayed cause she is a tiny and don't want to go just anywhere or to my vet cause someone told me not to get operations done there. So i asked the lady at the desk about how much it would be to spay London there, they said for the spay, teeth and appt. w/ bloodwork it will be about $650. They said they spay tinies all the time and that it's actually easier to spay the small ones
Is that true? I asked them if they can remove her dew claws(she has 2 that the breeder didn't remove) and the lady said no why would i do that? and that it's painfull. I heard i can have it done from other ppl
Her nails keep getting stuck on things. Anyway i also asked if i can take her home the same day, she said no, she has to stay overnight but that they have 24 hr ppl there. idk if i would trust that. I remember someone here posting that their yorkie almost died after she got spayed and that if she had not noticed her lethargy and taken her to the vet she prob. would have lost her. So i want to bring her home the same day. Also when she asked me her age and i told her she said well she should have been spayed at 4 mos and looked dumbfounded when i told her she needs some baby teeth removed, like it's not common for them not to lose all their babyteeth. Umm London was only about 1 lb at 4 mos, i don't think it would have been safe to spay her then
Also most her babyteeth have fallen out but she has about 4, the pointy ones. Anyway what do you guys think? Also if anyone know of any great vets in ny please let me know
