I don't know if anyone watches How clean is your house? on BBC America, but I love Kim and Aggie. They recently did a house where the dog went to the same spot to potty every time. Kim told the owners to use VINEGAR to neutralize the scent and clean the carpet. She said it works on all surfaces as well. I'd check about leather, but who knows. Vinegar kills the scent instantly, forever, so there's no scent of urine or poo for the pet to use as a mark. Animals also don't like the scent, so they won't go in the area either. I used it here on a spot my Mom's puppy liked to go on, and Coco hasn't been back there. I dunno, give it a shot.
