My kids 4 and 6 LOVE Brutus! I taught them from day one that they weren't allowed to play rough with him, pick him up or hurt him in anyway. My kids are very good with him and I trust them completely. It's some of my friends kids who I don't want near him. Some kids look at him like a toy or stuffed animal so whenever they're over I either hold him or put him in the laundry room.
I can understand breeders not wanting to sell their pups to families with small children. It happened to me and I was so insulted but it's their choice. BUT they should really meet the family and kids and go by that.
