Maybe in a crate... That applies to big dogs, not Yorkies.

Sorry but you're going to be going out every hour for a month or two at least. Get a wire crate and use it when you can't watch him so he doesn't get to practice peeing on the carpet. Keep taking him out at least once at night at another month or so. Try getting a bell for him to ring when he wants to go out. Start by practicing having him ring it when YOU decide he needs to go out, and then once he can start to hold it enough to have some freedom he can start to "ask" by ringing the bell. Mine are completely housetrained but it took over a year for Loki and 6+ months for Sam (she was already a year when we got her)

Also, for crate training you generally want to take him out and WATCH him to make sure he goes, then let him run around for 30-60 mins. Then crate him for another hour and THEN take him out again and start over. This helps him learn to hold it and confines him so he doesn't pee on the carpet during times when he is most likely to need to go. Good luck!
