The way mine works is the vehicle has to be locked. Which is pressing the lock button twice (once locks the driver's door, twice locks the rest of the vehicle and sounds the horn) then I press and hold the remote start button for about 5 seconds, and it starts. My parking lights also flash when it start. A lot of people that call in forget to lock their vehicles before they try to start it.
Also if you have a service engine light on, it disables the remote start. (And usually the cruise control too) |
