The American Kennel Club sponsors obedience competitions at their dog shows. Rally, I learned at obedience class, is a fun way for the dog and the handler to go through the obedience commands by following commands written on signs along a course. For example, the sign on the course may state, "Go Two Steps and Down your Dog" or "About Face" or "Turm Right and Halt". There may be small cones to heel in and out of and there may be a small jump, etc. I have tried it three times now with Remi and we had great fun. I plan on continuing the obedience classes until we are ready to comptete! |
