I got my first yorkie when my girls were 6 months and 2 years old. My son grew up with yorkies. My kids are now 8, 12,14 and I have 3 yorkies.
I don't think it is the child I think it is the attitude of the parents. Children don't understand and it is up the the parent to teach them.
