Yes, fentanyl is a strong narcotic. When my T.J. had surgery last June he had a patch. After the surgery he couldn't eat. He spent a week in the hospital and then I decided to bring him hom to die. When he got home I took off his patch and within 2 days he was eating and keeping everything down again. He has gained back the 2 pounds he lost. (25% of his weight) and is doing fine. His time is probably very limited becaue of the type of cancer he had. They gave him a year at most, but right now he's doing well.
